Vanquish - Professional Underwater Housing for Sony VENICE camera using Nikonos RS Submersible Lenses. |

Vanquish VENICE Main Features |

|
Vanquish has precision-machined titanium construction. Small size means getting to location and getting the shot. It also means easier and safer work methods as the housing can be easily picked up with one hand - all ready to shoot. At just 7.2kg (16 lbs) - it is by far the lightest system in the industry. It can easily be mounted on a crane, jib, tripod, 3D rig, scooter, ROV and other moving platforms where large, bulky housings are too heavy and too cumbersome. It also provides safer, more efficinent work methods by eliminating risks of an injury through heavy lifting. It is also easy to ship to remote locations or take on a plane with plenty of spare luggage allowance left. |
|
Industry's first real-time Telemetry Data Display (TDDTM) features miniature OLED screen which provides vital environmental information inside the housing: confirming sealing, temperature, moisture, humidity and state of the onboard battery at all times. The on-board microprocessor even calculates dew point. Vanquish is modular. Different front modules allow integration with different and future cameras. Different rear modules allow integration with different monitoring solutions. Different body modules allow configurations specific to Surf housing, Pole Cam, Crane Operation, ROV and other uses that traditionally require different solutions. Vanquish is made by one of the most advanced manufacturing facilies on the southern hemisphere, meeting strict ISO 9001 standard as well as assuring precision and quality far in excess of other underwater housing manufacturers. This ultimate precision is responsible for unmatched reliability and safety. Our sealing design is also the safest and most reliable in the industry. Vanquish features high-precision titanium lens mount assuring perfect back focus and extremely reliable sealing connection with the lens. Vanquish features four large "Cheese Plates" allowing for unlimited rigging, trim and balance, attachment of lighting and other accessories, handles, tripods, cranes, mounting on scooters, and countless other applications. No other housing offers such flexibility, adaptibility and customisation. |

Vanquish Venice features true 8k, ultra-wide angle underwater optics utilising Nikon Nikonos RS submersible lenses. Nikonos RS optics offer the highest optical quality underwater far exceeding that of housed lenses. This optics assures no distortions, no field curvature, no chromatic aberrations or astigmatism found in flat and dome underwater ports. Vanquish supports large selection of high-quality submersible lenses, which can be changed in seconds without opening the housing - no custom gears, no extension ports, no alignment, and no hassle. |

Why use Nikon Nikonos lenses underwater? Nikonos submersible lenses have been a foundation of underwater photography for over 30 years. Unlike land lenses placed into waterproof ports, Nikonos lenses were specifically designed for the unique optical challenges of underwater imaging. Many professional photographers consider these lenses the sharpest underwater optics ever designed. And rightfully so, as their optical performance does not suffer from the limitations of land lenses placed behind waterproof ports. Dome ports and flat ports, irrespective how good, suffer from inevitable field curvature, distortions and chromatic aberrations. On the other hand, Nikon Nikonos RS submersible lenses offer unmatched sharpness underwater - far exceeding that of housed terrestial lenses and even the camera itself. ![]() Only DeepX and Vanquish systems that use Nikon Nikonos and Nikonos RS lenses reach the Nyquist frequency limit - the theoretical maximum resolution of the camera sensor.
